Only was on one vehicle that I'm aware of:
Edit: Yup, 4ws mechanical rear rack. Too easy I suppose. Good read about it here: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Steering rack for a McLaren F1?

I'm guessing rear steering.
Prelude or some other FWD car.

wait a minute... these aren't CV joints...

Ooooh, that's a good guess.

4ws Prelude.. I think the Accord used the same thing actually.

These should all go in one thread. The mods aren't going to like every opponaut posting one of these every 10 min.

4ws was only on the 3rd thru 5th gen Prelude. Well, at least until Honda brought it back on the fwd Acura RLX, where it's now called P-AWS.

That was a very cool car when it came out. Can't find a decent Prelude nowadays.

Nice rack, can I touch?

The mods won't be happy about posting racks without NSFW warning.

I guess that's true. I know I had an eighties or nineites accord with 4ws ten years back.

Only the 3rd gen Prelude (and the unicorn super rare early 90s European Accord 4ws) had the mechanical 4ws. All the rest had electronic systems which are significantly different in function.

How Mazda did it with the MX-6

3rd and 4th gen both had it, 5th gen had vtec and torque vectoring instead.

Actually I missed the "mechanical" part, scratch what I said.
